Class Descriptions
Pole

Level 1
The perfect place to start! Level 1 focuses on the basics and introduces foundational moves to help you grow into a strong and talented pole dancer. Here, you will be introduced to various grips, learn to execute and combine spins, and work towards building the strength to climb. Not only does this class provide the opportunity to condition strength and athleticism, it also assists with developing fluid body movement and flexibility.
This class is designed for complete beginners and requires no previous experience, strength, or flexibility.
Level 2
In this class we introduce a wide variety of spin combos, inverts from the ground, and climb sequences. This level builds on the foundations learned in level 1 and continues to evolve those skills by offering more challenges. Students are ready to attempt aerial poses and explore the excitement of going upside down!
Prerequisites for this class:
- Must be able to climb the pole
- Is comfortable with all level 1 grips and spins
- Can hold a tuck/invert from the ground
Level 3
In this higher-level class, students will be presented with a plethora of aerial combos, splits, and strength/power moves. Attendees will be introduced to new grips, shoulder mounts, and also begin to incorporate flips.
Prerequisites for this class:
- Aerial Invert
- Gemini and Scorpio (Inside/Outside leg hangs)
Level 4
Our most advanced pole fitness class! Advanced splits, flips, drops, handsprings, and spin combos are taught alongside intense strength conditioning. This class is fifteen minutes longer than our other pole classes to allow for extra warm up and stretch time due to intensities of activity during this class.
Prerequisites for this class:
- Must be able to kick up into at least one handspring from the ground (twisted, true, or cup grip)
- Aerial shoulder mount

Choreography


Choreo - Beginner
This class offers the opportunity to learn how to move your body in a choreographed routine. Here, we will be applying movement learned in our level 1 courses, as well as spins, dips, heel flow and floor work.
Prerequisites for this class:
- Must be comfortable with most level 1 spins
- Shoulder rolls
(Heels are highly encouraged but not mandatory)
Choreo - Intermediate
In our intermediate course we will be teaching students how to improve their skills on and off the pole. We will be providing challenging moves, testing our flexibility, and developing stamina.
Prerequisites for this class:
- Must be at least a level 2 student
- Able to climb to the top of the pole
- Must be able to invert from the ground
(Heels are highly encouraged but not mandatory)
Back & Forth
Both sides! During this time, short choreographed sequences are broken down to students and ran thoroughly on each side. Similar to our regular choreo classes, but focused more on training movement polarity,.
Legs & Lines
A choreo based class with specific focus on leg, ankle and foot conditioning. A stepping stone to mastering the creation of long lines and extensions in a sequence.
Lyra
Level 1
A beginning course that provides the opportunity to build a base knowledge of aerial hoop. Here you can expect to review the basic techniques that involve different hangs under the bar, and poses inside the bar. Students will become familiar with balancing techniques and strive to develop comfortability with short transitions between poses.
This class is designed for complete beginners and requires no previous experience, strength or flexibility.
Level 2
Our intermediate Lyra classes bring more challenging poses and longer sequences from below, inside, and on top of the bar. Grips such as elbow hangs, single arm hangs and meathook will be incorporated into combos alongside inversions and split poses.
Prerequisites for this class:
- Trapeze, straddle, and side mount.
- Can hold double knee hang from bottom bar.
Silks


Beginner
This level will cover the foundations of silks. Students will work on climbs, foot-locks, and poses. In this class, students will also focus on building strength for inversions and hip-keys.
This class is designed for complete beginners and requires no previous experience, strength, or flexibility.
Intermediate
For students who have mastered the basics. Students will work on poses and sequences, advanced climbs as well as inversions in the air. Simple drops (e.g. star drop, 360 angel drop) will also be introduced at this level.
Pre-requisites for this class:
- Must be able to hip-key
-Invert from the ground
-Foot -locks in the air

Flexibility & Stretch
Active Flexibility & Mobility
A class designed for all ages and flexibility levels. A great addition to your pole, silks or lyra conditioning to focus mainly on active flexibility and mobility movements, followed with passive stretching. Each exercise/stretch altered to fit each individual student's needs.
Mobility Maintenance
Uncover all the elements of mobility needed on and off the pole, silks and lyra! Expand your range of motion while also learning how to practice active rest and recovery.

Open Gym

This class is ideal for students who would like to spend some personal time on conditioning previously learned tricks and combos. An instructor is present at all times, however this is not a taught/assisted class. Students may use this time to create videos, take photos of tricks and poses, or spend the time stretching and conditioning.
Prerequisites for this class:
Must have taken at least 1 class to utilize open gym time. No first time level 1 students are permitted to practicing without prior training.
